Under a grant from the National
Endowment for the Arts
, Louis Wasserman
traveled for three months across the
country gathering research on the
architectural implications and
applications of amusement theme parks.
Wasserman was invited to give lectures
on this subject at the Universities of
Illinois, Cal Berkeley, Cal Poly at San
Luis Obispo, Cal Poly at Pomona,
University of Minnesota, Illinois and
Harvard GSD. This project received a
First Award from Progressive
Architecture Magazine
, was premiated by
Design Arts Magazine, and cited by the
Urban Land Institute. Consulting for
international conceptual design
followed.
